This series shows the capabilities of my Sony A65 with a cheap ($45) old Minolta 100-300mm lens and digital zoom applied (total effective focal length = 900mm). The lens is not particularly sharp and produces chromatic aberration out the yin yang, as you can see in the photos. This does show that someone can indeed follow a moving subject as it comes by fast, even when shooting at 10 fps., when using the Sony A65, with its electronic viewfinder. It is very much like using a video camera. The Sony A77 would be better, of course, because it has a larger buffer. I had to stop twice, when shooting this, to allow the buffer to empty a little, before shoot more.
